Once upon a time I was known as Maribeth Barber, and I published a novel under that name. Then, at the age of 30, I married my best friend and became Maribeth Albritton. But I keep my maiden name sandwiched in between because it’s right there on Amazon on the front cover of a book, plus it’s the web address of this site…and I am nothing if not practical 😉
I no longer blog here, though I keep my old blog as an archive of sorts. You’re more than welcome to peruse my articles! Many are reviews of books, TV, movies, and music, and are written from a Christian worldview as well as a Christian imagination.
I am a virtual assistant, currently holding positions at Cultivating Oaks Press (Director of Media & Communications) and my church (social media manager). I’ve previously worked with The C.S. Lewis Foundation (Executive Assistant), musician Matthew Clark (administrative assistant), artist Sarah Tisdale Haddox (social media manager), and digital marketing production company Integrity Productions (social media manager).
I also remain a writer, with my works published in Cultivating Magazine and on my Substack Letters from Crickhollow. My dream is to write another novel sooner rather than later, though my interests have veered away from sci-fi and more into the realms of literary fiction.
My husband Casey is a Presbyterian minister and fellow nerd. We have a baby daughter and currently live in a cozy little apartment in Louisiana.
Last but not least, I am a Christian, and in the Lord God Almighty Jesus Christ I live, move, and have my being.
Welcome to my little space on the Internet. I hope you enjoy your stay!
