“I’m gonna need a hurricane check…”

Greetings from the Gulf Coast, where we’re collectively rolling our eyes at 2020’s latest antics and bracing ourselves for not just one tropical storm today, but ANOTHER hurricane on Thursday! Oh alack, alack…this year, methinks, should take a chill pill.

My family and spent the entire weekend preparing for Tropical Storm Marco and soon-to-be Hurricane Laura: prepping the property, baking and cooking, and just trying to get everything done that may be impossible to accomplish, sans electricity, over the next couple of days. As a result of all this busy-ness, I had zero time to write and polish a proper article for today. But I do plan on preparing September’s newsletter this week (if you’re signed up, it’ll arrive in your inboxes next Wednesday!), and hopefully I’ll have something a little more substantial here on the blog next Monday.

For now, however, please enjoy a short compilation of crazy memes from my Pinterest boards instead of a thoughtful, eloquent post…and I’ll see you on the other side!

That’s it — I’m casting Adam Driver as a Theology Professor in my eventual film that will re-enchant its audience with the wonders and joys of academia and the arts despite the reality of living in a constantly STEM-obsessed world. 😂 😂

  Thank you so much for your prayers, Friend! It looks like we’ll get a good stiff breeze and maybe a storm or two, but (as of Tuesday afternoon) I think the worst of it will be to the west of us. Really praying for those folks over there; they’re gonna take a beating 😖
